Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. My priority is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns.
At InPsy, we follow the professional, legal, and ethical standards of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP). As part of our service, I keep confidential records of all therapy sessions, and this information is not shared without your clear, written permission.
At times, I may find it helpful to consult with my supervisor or other professionals regarding your case. In such instances, I will only share information relevant to the consultation, without revealing any identifying details. Supervisors and colleagues are also legally bound to maintain confidentiality.
Please note that there are specific situations where confidentiality may need to be breached by law. These include instances where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, cases involving child or elder abuse, or when ordered by a court. I will explain these circumstances to you in detail during our first session, and you can also refer to the Privacy Policy for more information.
